Mini Rant on Voter Turnout

All right, Calgary, don't go getting carried away just because your '07 voter turnout of 33% is higher than Edmonton's.  It's still TERRIBLE!  We all suck! 

If there was ever a reason to exploit the Edmonton vs. Calgary rivalry, I think democracy is it.  I challenge you, Calgarians, to hit the polls like never before and see if you really can beat us again.

How Calgary is organised

Calgary has 14 wards, with one councillor each.  For school boards, one trustee covers two wards.  This is true of both public & Cathlic school boards (seven each), which results in a total of 14 school board trustees.  Find your ward & voting station by typing in your address here or viewing this ward map.

Where do I vote?

Not sure where to go to cast your ballot?  Type in your address here and the City of Calgary gives you your ward # and polling station, including map!   It's so easy.
